“The Zealander” is inspired by the tricolore flag of the Dutch. The bars symbolize the sky, the long cloud, and the sea. They will flit/billow like waves in the wind. The green triangle, with the south cross stars, symbolize the islands’ rise from sea, when sailing towards New Zealand.
